The 7 Keys to Wellness

This won’t come as a shocker to most of you, but I don’t always have my ish together, y’all.

I’ve been a complete wine-o (and whine-o), been overweight most of my life, argued with people over the dumbest things, beat myself up mentally for not being the perfect size, or called myself names. The list goes on, but that’s not the point here.

You came to me to discover the keys to rockin’ a healthier and happier life, so my goal is to help you find true and lasting wellness!

So that’s what I’m going to gift you today.

You deserve to be happier and healthier while loving life AND living life to its fullest!

Sometimes we get bogged down at our weight so we try to find that perfect solution for losing weight, AND the dreaded pain in the arsenal of KEEPING it off!

You feel me? 🙋‍♀️

We’re going to wipe the slate clean and focus elsewhere. Granted I have a solution for that too, but that’s for another time.

I truly believe your primary foods matter MORE than your secondary foods.

You might be saying, what does primary and secondary foods even MEAN, Jamie?

Ok, lemme break it down for you…

Primary foods are alllll the things in your life that aren’t concerning sustenance (food and water). Like relationships, spirituality, your career, hobbies, your to do list, your environment, even your social life.

Ok, secondary foods are what you actually put in your body, your life sustaining activities, which are super important too… your food, your nourishment, even quality supplements, and of course, water.

What I’m saying is, if your primary foods are out of whack, you must focus on them first, and in time, the secondary foods become easier for you to make better choices, and fuel your body the right way AND lose the extra weight for good.

Remember, however old you are right now, you didn’t get this way over night. So we’re going to lock arms and ROCK it from here on out.

Start using these 7 Keys to Wellness daily, and you’ll learn:

  • How to have an attitude of gratitude consistently, because every morning you’re intentionally finding and writing just one thing you’re grateful for.
  • The Golden Rule is about to come ALIVE in your life… by giving and expecting nothing in return, you will SEE how your words and actions show LOVE for someone else. This isn’t a gift thing, unless you choose it to be. This is a simple text, voice memo, card in the mail, just something to let one person (try to even message the first person that pops in your mind each day – they may be the one who needs it in that moment!) but let them know that they’re on your mind, and you wish for them to have a great day, or week. Something from your heart specifically to them.
  • That it shouldn’t take long to add in a little exercise into your daily routine. Gym membership? No problem… go walk or elliptical for 15 minutes, and build up to something you’d like to do there. My favorite workout is T-Tapp Basic Workout Plus – literally 15 minutes a day in front of my TV at home, but you could go on YouTube and find TONS of Teresa Tapp’s exercises! One day, I hope to teach it! (one of my future goals!! :::high five:::)
  • Choosing healthy foods doesn’t have to be hard… you CAN have that piece of cake, just not every day 😉 it’s mentally draining to constantly tell yourself NO, plus it pushes us back to childhood, when we were told no and remember those feelings! So, say YES to yourself, just not often IF it’s not going to fuel your cells with the power it needs to reach your weight goals.
  • Listening to a podcast or audiobook makes housework, or even the drives to work, much less boring! Now, I fully believe music is LIFE too, but hearing something uplifting, or interesting, brings in something new and good to your day, so enjoy it! Who doesn’t want NEW & GOOD in their life? Oh, and jam sessions with music are TOTALLY perfect for when you need a break, have lost focus on your task, or are having an awful moment… ask some of my friends, sometimes I just call them and we play loud music and dance together on FaceTime! hahaha
  • You are worth taking time out, even just 15 minutes, to show yourself some love. It’s not selfish, it makes us become better humans and more loving to those around us. Just watch, you won’t blow up as easily, or snap at someone… all because you’re taking a little time caring for yourself. And remember, loving yourself is NOT selfish. It’s necessary.
  • Brain dump sesh… y’all, this is sooooo liberating. No organization to it whatsoever, just write in a journal anything that pops into your head to get it out and on paper. FREE your mind, so you can truly get the REST you need. You’ll notice a difference in HOW you rest each night by doing this ONE thing. And being that you brain dumped it, you can always reference back to something you may need to do another day.

Bottom line here is, you are going to start feeling better, grow your self-confidence, sleep better, have more meaningful relationships, and start reaching your goals. I challenge you to just do it, and see what happens!
